Prime Timers began in Boston in 1987, founded on a simple observation: gay social life was organised almost entirely around the young, and older men were quietly disappearing from it. Chapters now run in cities across North America and beyond.

Our desert chapter has been meeting for years — through seasons, through losses, through a good many changes of venue. What has not changed is the point of the thing: somewhere to go, and people expecting you when you get there.
