Membership
Join us
Membership keeps the club running and brings a few useful things with it. But it is not the price of admission — you are welcome at events either way.
Who belongs
Who belongs here
Prime Timers is for gay and bisexual men who are older, and for younger men who genuinely enjoy their company. That is the whole test.
We do not ask about your work, your health, your marital history or your politics. Members are single and partnered, retired and still working, lifelong desert residents and last-year arrivals.
Dues
What it costs
$30
per year
Dues cover our share of the national Prime Timers affiliation, the website, and the coffee that inevitably needs buying.
What you get:
- The monthly calendar by email before it goes public
- A members' directory, shared only among members
- A vote at the annual meeting
- Discounted tickets to our larger dinners and parties
If the dues are a genuine obstacle for you, say so quietly to any officer. We have a fund for exactly that and nobody else will hear about it.
Signing up
Three ways to sign up
- At an event. Any officer can sign you up on the spot. It takes about two minutes.
- By email. Write to us and we will send the form back to you.
- By post. Ask for a paper form and we will put one in the mail.
We will need your name, an email address or phone number, and your dues. Nothing else.
Questions we get asked
Do I have to be a member to come along?
No. Come to as many events as you like first. Most people join after a month or two, once they have decided they like us.
Is there an age limit?
No. The club leans older by design, and younger men who enjoy that company are welcome.
I don't know anybody. Is that awkward?
Everyone here arrived that way. Tell whoever greets you that it is your first time and you will not be left standing on your own.
Can I bring my partner?
Yes, always.
